Planning a ground screw installation

From site access and equipment selection to connection checks and records.
01. Confirm the project information.
Review the structure layout, support positions, selected products and available site information before planning the work. The installation method should follow the requirements agreed for the actual project. A general process illustration is an introduction, not a complete site instruction.

02. Match the equipment to the task.
Share the ground screw model, quantities and site access with the team. Compare the applicable portable driver or crawler equipment information and confirm compatibility. Operating and maintenance requirements should come from the documentation for the particular equipment.
03. Position the foundations.
Set out the agreed locations and levels using the project layout. Confirm the working area and relevant site checks before installation starts. Record any difference between the planned conditions and what is found on site so the project team can review it.
04. Install and keep records.
Follow the agreed installation method and record the observations required by the project. Product reference, location, installed depth, levels and installation observations may form part of that record. The required checks depend on the project and should be confirmed in advance.
05. Connect and review.
Check the specified mounting interface and the connection to the supported structure. Review the completed installation against the applicable drawings and inspection requirements. Keep the product and installation records with the project documentation.
This guide introduces project preparation. It does not replace project-specific foundation design or equipment operating instructions.
